The Tampa Bay Lightning GIRLS ONLY Rookie League program will run at Power Pole Arena (6910 Asphalt Ave, Tampa FL) on Sundays from 12:10pm - 1:10pm. 

Rookie League is for girls that have completed either the Lightning Learn to Play program, or their local rink's Hockey 101 program. Rookie League consists of 30 minutes of skills and drills, followed by 30 minutes of small games. This program is a great stepping stone between Learn to Play and Rec League so that girls can start to learn the rules of the game, as well as positioning.

The cost of 8 weeks of Rookie League is $250 and includes a jersey.


  • Fall session will begin on August 18th at 12:10pm
  • Winter session will begin on November 3rd at 12:10pm
  • Spring session will begin on February 23rd at 12:10pm
  • Summer session will begin on May 18th at 12:10pm
