The Tampa Bay Lightning Hockey Development Team is thrilled to host evaluations for our first ever SGHL team!

We hope to have the numbers to be able to create an 8/10U combined team, a 12/14U combined team, and a 16U team. All teams will practice out of Clearwater Ice Arena for the season (beginning end of August/start of September).

PLEASE SEE THE BIRTH YEAR/AGE CLASSIFICATIONS BELOW, as well as pre-requisites to attend the evaluation!

8/10U Team - 2014, 2015, 2016, 2017 Birth Years

12/14U Team - 2010, 2011, 2012, 2013 Birth Years

16U Team - 2008, 2009 Birth Years

Pre-Requisites:

-All players must have at least completed one season of Rec League (co-ed or girls only) at the time of the tryout (if this summer is your first season of Rec, you are not eligible).

-All 12/14/16U players must have a basic knowledge of all 5 on 5 rules (icing, offsides, etc) as well as penalties. 8U/10U will be cross-ice play.

EVALUATION INFORMATION:

Location: Clearwater Ice Arena (13940 Icot Boulevard, Clearwater FL 33760)

Date: Saturday, June 29th

Times:

8U/10U: 10:45am Check In / 11:30am - 12:30pm On Ice

12/14U: 12:00pm Check In / 12:45pm - 1:45pm On Ice

16U: 1:15pm Check In / 2:00pm - 3:00pm On Ice

Evaluation Format:

-Each evaluation skate will consist of a 30 minute practice followed by a 30 minute scrimmage

-The practices will be led by Kelley Steadman - Girls Hockey Coordinator for the Lightning as well as other Hockey Development staff

- Staff evaluators will be on ice as well as in the stands

- JERSEYS WILL BE PROVIDED
