Please join us for our 8/10U SGHL Team Tryouts on Saturday, May 9th from 11:15am - 12:15pm at Clearwater Ice Arena.

Criteria:

• All participants must play in a Rec League or higher level (No LTP, 201, Hockey 101 etc).
• All participants must be 2016, 2017, 2018, 2019 birth years

8/10U Season Game Play:

• SGHL - The 8/10U Team will compete in 3-5 jamborees throughout the season against other girls teams in the Southern Girls Hockey League. Last year our jamborees included Charleston, Atlanta, and Jacksonville. The team can have a maximum roster of 12 skaters and 2 goalies. Practices will be held at Power Pole Arena.
• SFGHL - In addition to competing in the SGHL, we will also participate in the SFGHL - this includes 10 FULL ICE games against teams in Florida (Jacksonville and Orlando). Each team will have 2 games against the other two teams on a weekend. During the 2025-2026 season, games took place on Saturdays (one in the morning and one in the afternoon).
• NGHL - We will also take part in one NGHL tournament throughout the year that takes. The NGHL has tournaments all across the country with teams from all across the country and all games are full ice! During the 2025-2026 season, we went to Chicago and played teams from Illinois, Colorado, and Arizona.
