Welcome to the Winter 2023/24 Girls Only Rec League Registration!

We are excited to begin our fourth season and are looking forward to seeing you at the rink!

The Girls Only Rec League is for GIRLS AGES 7-13 that have completed Learn to Play (Hockey 101) and Rookie League (Hockey 201) or who have been approved by the coaching staff to skip the Rookie League step!

We will have 2 REC LEAGUES THIS SEASON! One for girls ages 7-9 and another for girls ages 10-13 (BASED ON THEIR AGE AS OF DECEMBER 3rd, 2023).

The winter season will consist of 8 weeks of practices and games, both of which, will take place on Sundays beginning December 3rd. The first practice will be an evaluation in order to create teams that are as even as possible. All game scores will be recorded and a point system will determine the ranking of teams throughout the season.

THIS REGISTRATION WILL CLOSE 1 WEEK PRIOR TO THE DECEMBER 3rd START.

Practice/Game Layout:

Each League will have 3 teams that will practice together for 40 minute and then play 3, 16 minute running time games.

7-9 Rec League Schedule:

3:50pm - 4:30pm: Practice

4:30pm - 5:20pm: Games

10-13 Rec League Schedule:

5:30pm - 6:10pm: Practice

6:10pm - 7:00pm: Games

Teams will rotate who they play each week and all practices/games will be added to League Apps, which parents can access via the app.

Rec League Rules:

- 3, 16 minute running time games (Team A plays Team B, Team B plays Team C, Team C plays Team A)

- Each team will have a goalie with full goalie gear (provided if you do not have your own) - the girls can rotate goalie each week via a sign up, or if there is someone who wants to play goalie full time, we will allow that as well!

- Offsides and penalties will be called. Penalties will result in a penalty shot.

- A player will only be allowed to score 3 goals in a game. If they happen to score a 4th, it will not count toward the team score.

- The League Apps app will keep track of league standings when scores are recorded after the games. At the end of the season, we will crown a first place team.

As a reminder, the purpose of Rec League is to teach the girls the rules of the game, help them develop their skills, give them a chance to play with and against other girls, help them make friends off the ice, and to have fun. We hope your daughter will enjoy her time with us and learn as much as possible about the game!
